CONTEST ABILITY
SYDNEY-BASED EXERCISE AND SPORTS SCIENTIST & PERFORMANCE ANALYST
SERVICES
FACE TO FACE TRAINING
Contest Ability – Performance Analysis couples specific programming with specific exercise selections in order for an individual to perform in a session that mirrors the demands of the sport they perform in. These sessions include both gym based sessions and field based sessions.

Contest Ability – Performance Analysis works with athletes over the off-season, pre-season, and in-season period in a number of capacities, including rehabilitation, performance maximisation, and performance maintenance. The selection of exercises are influenced by the stage of the season and the level of the athlete.

Contest Ability – Performance Analysis also takes several factors into consideration when selecting exercises for a session, such as skill level, prior exercise experience, injury history and stage of physical development, as these factors will influence the type of training session that an individual will perform in.

ONLINE EXERCISE PROGRAMS
Contest Ability – Performance Analysis provides individuals with programs that are specific to their needs (or the needs of the sport that they perform in) in order to provide structure within training microcycles, mesocycles and macrocycles. This structure allows individuals to get the most out of their training in order to achieve their potential.

Contest Ability – Performance Analysis also provides teams with annual programs, as this allows teams to develop a plan for their upcoming season. This benefits teams as they can implement specific training blocks within a season, make informed decisions about the workloads players will be exposed to at various points within a season, and when to taper off training so players aren’t exposed to fatigue and injury.

Contest Ability provides programs over four weeks, eight weeks and twelve weeks, and these programs are constantly updated based on the individual’s response to training. Progressive overload, periodisation and other techniques are also implemented to influence the design of the programs.

Testing sessions are also included within the program in order to quantify the individual’s strength capacity, and as a measure to determine whether the individual is responding positively to training. Contest Ability also offers an initial testing session free of charge.

The filming and analysis of games in today’s environment is becoming more prevalent, as coaches have recognised the importance of reviewing their team’s tactics and how effectively they are being implemented, as well as scouting other team’s players and tactics to gain a competitive advantage.

Players also benefit from such footage as they are able to review their performance after a game, as well as using footage from the games to create their own personal highlight reel.

We use the best filming techniques to ensure that coaches and players get the most out of their game footage, and it is for this reason that teams choose and continue to work with Contest Ability.
